Wildtracks Education

Wildtracks focuses on inspiring and engaging students and the public at large towards improved awareness and active stewardship of Belize's natural resources.

Wildtracks Belize was established in 1990 as an outreach organization, introducing young people to wildlife and the environment through outdoor activities.  From hosting inner-city youths-in-care for environmental weekends, to sustained environmental education in the local schools, Wildtracks has witnessed first-hand what exposure to the natural environment can achieve.  Past students have grown to be environmental stewards, now leading conservation organizations, sustainable tourism initiatives , and inspiring new generations - demonstrating the success of sustained outreach programs.

GOAL: WILDTRACKS continues to contribute TOWARDS NATIONAL AND LOCAL INITIATIVES TO RAISE AWARENESS OF BIODIVERSITY, CONSERVATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT ISSUES.

By the end of 2020, Wildtracks has engaged and inspired both the local and national community towards improved awareness and active stewardship of Belize's natural resources. Students of the northern coastal communities will be engaged, fully aware of key environmental issues, and practicing good environmental stewardship.

By the end of 2020, Wildtracks will have increased awareness and acceptance of the role of ecosystems in building resilience to climate change at local and national levels
